Why couples photography in Flevoland
Love with water and open sky
Flevoland is designed land: straight lines, young woodland, wide banks. For a couples session that means a calm background. You stay the subject, and the polder mostly puts space around you instead of scenery competing for attention.
Wind is not a detail but a given. On an open bank there is almost always a breeze. I choose the side of the dyke or the woodland edge where you stay comfortable, and use wind where it helps: in hair, in clothing, in movement that keeps a portrait alive.
If you live in Almere, are based in Lelystad, or choose Zeewolde for the beach, we start with your story and the season. Young woodland turns a different colour in autumn than old avenues, and that difference shows in the photographs.
A couples session here is mostly about timing and comfort: short routes, a sheltered spot when it blows hard, and enough space to simply be together. The rest follows from how you move.
Couples photographer in Flevoland
Flevoland is water, dyke and polder. For couples photography that means choice: the banks of the Eemmeer near Zeewolde, the Weerwater in the middle of Almere, the young woods around Lelystad, or the long straight avenues that define the province.
From Groningen I usually leave in the early afternoon so we catch the last light. Almere, Zeewolde and Lelystad are roughly 1.5–2 hours via A6/A7; for an hour-long session that plans easily, and traffic towards the polder is rarely a problem.
Almere is urban and modern: concrete, steel and water close together. That suits couples who do not want a rural session but still want calm in the frame. The Weerwater adds sky and reflection right beside the centre.
On the Eemmeer I prefer the last hour of light. Beach, waterline and horizon, with wind keeping the images in motion. In the young woods around Lelystad and Zeewolde there is more shelter when it blows hard.

Edited photos are delivered within three weeks via a private online gallery. If anything shifts, I will let you know in good time.
For bookings within a 15 km radius of postcode 9734 AW, I don't charge any travel fees. For locations beyond that, travel costs are charged at €0.40 per kilometre.
Northern weather can be beautiful on camera. If rain or wind makes an outdoor session impractical, we choose shelter, an indoor setting, or reschedule. We always plan a backup.
Yes. Additional edited images are €5 each. You can take your time selecting from the online gallery.
Yes, and here it is often the strongest choice. The Eemmeer near Zeewolde and the Weerwater in Almere give space and reflection. We plan around the last hour of light and pick a bank where the wind works with us rather than against us.
On an open bank there is almost always a breeze. I choose the sheltered side of the dyke or a woodland edge, or we start in Almere Haven between the quays. Wind in hair and clothing can work well when you stay comfortable.
