Flevoland is young land. The polder was laid out in the twentieth century, the horizon sits low, and very little stands between you and the sky. That gives photographs room to breathe, but it also asks for decisions you would never make in a sheltered garden.
Reportage in Flevoland moves with your day. A beach ceremony near Zeewolde, dinner with the Weerwater behind the windows, or a winter wedding with warm indoor light: I photograph what happens, not what I imagined in advance. That suits a personal, relaxed wedding without hours of posing.
I travel across the province: Almere, Lelystad, Zeewolde and the villages between them. Almere, Zeewolde and Lelystad are roughly 1.5–2 hours from Groningen via A6/A7; exact time depends on traffic. Travel is €0.40 per kilometre and appears clearly in your quote.
The venues here suit documentary coverage well. Zuiderzoet and Eemhof Beachclub sit on the Eemmeer, VIEW Almere looks out over the Weerwater, and the Van der Valk hotels in Almere and Lelystad hold a full day under one roof. Paviljoen De Verbeelding in Zeewolde is the exception: according to the municipality, the ceremony can take place there, but no reception or celebration afterwards. That is not a drawback, but it is worth knowing in advance.
Outdoor ceremonies by the water need a real plan B. There is more wind on the Eemmeer and along the Weerwater than most couples expect, and wind decides how hair, veil and sound behave during the ceremony. A hall with windows or a covered transition keeps the reportage flowing when the weather turns, so the day still reads as itself rather than as something rushed.
Open water photographs best in the last hour of light. Around midday the same water gives hard contrast and a lot of glare. We discuss your venue, the wind direction and your key moments in advance, so I can shift short portrait windows to the right hour without interrupting your programme.

Trouwlocaties

Beach, waterline and hall light; account for wind and glare during an outdoor ceremony.

Beachclub on the Eemmeer in Zeewolde: ceremony in the Beachclub or on the beach, from intimate ceremony to full celebration. Official wedding venue of the municipality.
Beach and horizon light; plan portraits outside harsh midday and expect wind.

Two halls on the Weerwater for ceremony, dinner and celebration. No accommodation on site; hotels nearby in the centre.
Weerwater and skyline; evening light on water works strongly, harsh midday glare less so.

Peninsula venue in Zeewolde for the ceremony only: according to the municipality a reception or celebration afterwards is not possible here, so dinner and party happen elsewhere.

A full wedding day in Almere: ceremony, dinner, celebration and accommodation on one address. Flexible halls; confirm current capacity per part of the programme.
Modern halls and short outdoor portraits on the grounds; warm interior light beside soft evening light.

Kind words
“Viktoria's work feels genuinely unique because she shows you the image you hold in your mind, something few photographers turn into art. For me she is more than a photographer.”
B. Ward·Wedding photography
“Viktoria is a wonderful professional photographer. My husband and I were delighted with the photos we received.”
Live is Life·Couple session
“We had the most wonderful experience with Viktoria in Groningen for our pre-wedding photoshoot. She captured us beautifully during the meikermis, turning the vibrant lights and festive atmosphere into magical backdrops. Beyond her talent, she was professional, kind and patient.”

Every wedding begins with a personal conversation. We talk about your day, your story and what truly matters to you. How you want the atmosphere to feel in your images, and where you feel most yourselves. That clarity builds trust, so on the day I know what to watch for and you can focus on each other.
02
On your wedding I work quietly and observantly. I guide only when needed and leave room for real moments. The focus is on spontaneity, emotion and the people around you, not a pose list. Images that show how the day actually felt.
03
After the wedding I carefully select the images that tell your complete story. Each photograph is edited with attention to colour, light and mood. You receive everything in a private online gallery to relive and share. A reportage that shows not just how the day looked, but how it felt.

Most couples book between 6 and 10 hours, enough for the ceremony, drinks, group portraits and part of the reception. If you want getting-ready coverage and a relaxed portrait session, 8 to 12 hours is often ideal.

Yes. Waterfront venues such as Zuiderzoet and Eemhof, the halls at VIEW Almere and the Van der Valk hotels in Almere and Lelystad all leave room to move with the day. I plan portraits around the light and keep group photographs efficient so you can return to your guests.

Water gives space and reflection, especially in the last hour of light. Around midday that same open water produces hard contrast. Wind matters more on the Eemmeer and the Weerwater than in a sheltered garden, so we choose the side of the bank where you stay comfortable.
Yes. I work in English and Ukrainian and am used to couples travelling from abroad for a Dutch celebration.
We agree a plan B in advance: an indoor room with windows, a covered transition, or a flexible portrait window. Soft overcast light over open water often photographs beautifully when you stay unhurried.
