Couples photography, for me, is not about perfect poses. It is about what happens between you when you forget the camera is there. A hand finding another. A shared laugh. The moment when it is just the two of you again.
Many couples book an engagement session in Groningen because they want photographs that will still feel right in ten years. Not trend-driven images, but honest records of who you are now. Whether it is for your wedding website, an anniversary, or simply because you want to remember this chapter, the approach stays the same: calm, personal, attentive to your story.
Romantic photography works best when you are given room. I offer gentle direction on where to walk and where to pause, but let you do what comes naturally. No studio setup, no rigid postures. Natural light, a beautiful location, and images that show your relationship honestly.

Beyond the ring road, the landscape is just as varied. In Haren we walk through tree-lined paths and park-like settings. Towards Zuidlaren and Appingedam, open fields, old farmhouses and paths along the Reitdiep unfold. Winsum and the Hogeland offer space for a love story with northern character.

Getting to know you
We start with a conversation, online or in person. You tell me why you want this session, whether for an engagement, save-the-date, anniversary, or simply something beautiful together. We discuss location, timing and mood. That way I know what matters to you, and there are no surprises on the day.

The session
On location, I take my time. We walk, pause, talk. I offer gentle direction when it helps, but most of the photography happens naturally. No tight schedule. I pay attention to light, composition and the moments that are genuinely you.

Delivery
I select and edit the images with care for colour, light and emotion. You receive a private online gallery where you can choose, download and share at your own pace. The result shows your relationship honestly, in images you will want to keep.

I am based in Groningen and work across the city and surrounding provinces. Sessions outside the region are welcome; travel is quoted transparently in advance.
Edited photos are delivered within three weeks via a private online gallery. If anything shifts, I will let you know in good time.
There are no travel costs for sessions within Groningen city. Beyond that, travel is €0.23 per kilometre from Groningen, clearly stated in your quote.
Northern weather can be beautiful on camera. If rain or wind makes an outdoor session impractical, we choose shelter, an indoor setting, or reschedule. We always plan a backup.
Yes. Additional edited images are €5 each. You can take your time selecting from the online gallery.
In practice, very little. Both are about you as a couple. An engagement session is often booked around the proposal or for wedding stationery. An anniversary session can happen at any time: celebrating your relationship, a milestone, or simply beautiful images together. We decide the approach and mood together.
Usually between thirty minutes and an hour and a half, depending on the package. That is enough for multiple locations and a relaxed pace. We do not rush. The best images appear when you have time.
