Families in Arnhem, Nijmegen or Wageningen often choose a mix: a stroll through the park, then time in woodland or by the river. Collecting sticks, walking a small dyke, a picnic under trees: the programme can be playful. Images appear in between.
Milestones, seasons, or simply finally being photographed together: Gelderland offers a setting for each story. A summer afternoon in an estate park, a crisp autumn walk on the Veluwezoom, winter light in town.
I plan around your family, not the reverse. Sleep, meals, children's energy: we discuss this in advance. A family session should fit your day out, not sit on top of it.
Family photographer in Gelderland
Many families choose Gelderland for green space close to home. The Veluwezoom near De Steeg and Ellecom, estate parks around Putten and the woods near Arnhem are favourites. Arnhem, Nijmegen and Wageningen offer city parks for shorter routes with young children.
For families I plan travel from Groningen so Arnhem or Nijmegen stays workable (about 2 to 2.25 hours); Putten and Wageningen are often a little shorter. Maas & Waal near Ewijk suits short dyke and orchard walks with small children.
Outdoor sessions need flexibility. Wind, rain or sun: we have a plan B. Forest edges give shelter and filtered light, and a city park works well if the weather turns.
Sandy paths and riverbanks work well for children. No long journey, still room to explore. Parents relax; I photograph what unfolds.

How I work with families

Getting to know you
We talk about your family: ages, personalities, what you want to remember. A new baby, a first year abroad, or simply time together before everyone grows another inch. I advise on location, timing and clothing in plain English: practical, unhurried, no pressure. Everyone knows what to expect, including the children.

The session
On location I follow your family's rhythm. Walk, play, pause for a snack. Family photography happens in between, not in stiff poses. I guide gently when it helps and step back when it does not. Sessions stay relaxed because children are allowed to be children. The goal is connection you recognise, not a performance for the camera.

Your gallery
I select the images that tell your story: laughter, quiet glances, small details. After editing you receive a private online gallery to share with grandparents abroad or keep for yourselves. A family session should give you photographs you will still love in twenty years, on the wall and in an album.

I am based in Groningen and travel throughout Gelderland for sessions. Arnhem, Nijmegen, Putten, Wageningen and beyond.
Edited photos are delivered within three weeks via a private online gallery. If anything shifts, I will let you know in good time.
For bookings within a 15 km radius of postcode 9734 AW, I don't charge any travel fees. For locations beyond that, travel costs are charged at €0.40 per kilometre.
Northern weather can be beautiful on camera. If rain or wind makes an outdoor session impractical, we choose shelter, an indoor setting, or reschedule. We always plan a backup.
Yes. Additional edited images are €5 each. You can take your time selecting from the online gallery.
Yes. I work across Gelderland: Arnhem, Nijmegen, Putten, Wageningen, Barneveld and the Veluwezoom. Location and travel are agreed clearly before you book.
